Dacic meets with Mary Warlick, new US Ambassador to Serbia

Belgrade, Feb. 11, 2010 (Serbia Today) – As it was reported by the Serbian Government Press Service, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic has met on Tuesday with newly appointed US Ambassador to Serbia Mary Warlick.

Dacic informed Warlick about results of his visit to the United States and plans of the Ministry of the Interior for further cooperation with the US police. One of the topics discussed was the political situation in Serbia. Warlick said that she will do everything to boost cooperation between Serbia and the United States and announced that the US Embassy will support the implementation of plans of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior that were discussed during last week’s visit of the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister to the United States. Warlick expressed satisfaction with the plans for the expansion of the peacekeeping mission of the Serbian Interior Ministry in Haiti and the engagement of Serbian police officers in EU missions in Congo and Afghanistan.
